Cotty-Cat

This morning as I was drinking my coffee in the kitchen and listening to Buddy Holly and Ricky Nelson, I saw a beautiful gray cat with white feet outside my window.  She was stalking the squirrels that gambol around out there.  She must have been a pretty good hunter because she was quite a fat cat! Or perhaps she belonged to someone.  It reminded me of looking out of my window at my parents' old house in Maryland, watching our cat, Cotton, stalk things out in the yard near the woods beneath my window.  I miss having an animal so much.  I wish I was allowed to have a cat in my apartment... I'm promising myself that this will be the last year without one.
This is Cotton.  He passed away last winter, at the age of 19.  He has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

Do you have any stories to share of special cats in your life?

  3. Cotton looks like such a sweetie, I'm so sorry to hear that he has passed. I'm such a cat lady and I dread the day when one of them has to be put down.

I have 3 cats right now, but one of them is such a little baby. He only lets me touch him and pick him up and for the past 5 years, he has been my best friend.
Who would have thought that a free kitten from a couple at walmart would change my life.

  4. I am hellobg from Bloggers Swap on Swapbot. So sorry about Cotton. I used to take care of my neighbor's cat when they would be away the whole day. She was adorable, we used to call her Calico but later I found out her name was Sasha. Well, she was at my old home now that we moved, I do miss her a lot. You can see her photo here:

  5. Sorry to hear about Cotton. It's so awful when beloved, old pets pass away. I've never had a cat pass away, though I do have a beautiful Russian Blue named Miia, but last year my beloved 14-year-old dog passed away on my 18th birthday.

Sorry to hear about Cotton. Sounds like he had a happy and long life. I've never had an indoor cat as a pet but know lots of people who do. I hope you get to have a pet again soon.
