Postmarks

I'm envious of the postmarks that come from my parents' small post office.  They are so pretty...

 I despise the machine made ones as much as I can despise anything that has to do with mail.

Look at this! They've tried to have a nice message and an image but it just looks horrible.

I know you can ask for them to do it, but the post office is out of my way and mostly I just put my mail in a post box.

Even though I'm sure that my Boston sent mail goes out with a machine postmark, I'm very grateful that I receive some mail with hand stamped postmarks.  Any one else get hand stamped mail?  Or does anyone send mail from a place that regularly hand stamps?
