Grooveshark Mail Music!

Hey everybody,

So I added a new thingummy on the left side of my blog.  In case you haven't heard of it, Grooveshark is a really great website. It's kind of like youtube except just for songs, not for videos.

So I've compiled a list of songs about mail and if you check out the box at the top left you can scroll through the songs.  I think that I made it so that it doesn't automatically start playing music when you open my website. You should have to click on it. If that is not the case, please let me know because I find that annoying.

Most of the songs are oldies, but there are a few more recent songs.

Here's the list as of right now:

Mail myself to you- Pete Seeger

Oh Contessa- Casiotone for the Painfully Alone

Hymn for the Postal Service – Hefner

Why don’t you write me darling-  Jacks

Why don’t you write me – Simon and Garfunkel

Please Mr. Postman – the Marvelettes

Twistin’ Postman – the Marvelettes

Box full of letters- Wilco

Sealed with a kiss- Brian Hyland

Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours – Stevie Wonder

Return to Sender – Elvis

The Letter – the Box Tops

Across the Sea- Weezer

  1. Lovely list! You could add the beatles - all my loving

    And then while I'm away,
    I'll write home ev'ry day,
And I'll send all my loving to you.

  2. Neat idea! I love the Wilco song. Another good mail song is PJ Harvey - The Letter.

  3. Thanks guys. Siel, I love the Beatles and I put that song on a mail mix cd that I made for myself! ...but sadly there aren't any Beatles songs on Grooveshark because whoever owns the Beatles rights is super good at keeping their songs from being free on the internet.

And thanks to Tara too! Checking out that song right now.

    :-D
